On Sunday, after a day recuperating from Jazzfest and the French
Quarter, we drove out to the heart of Acadiania to Lafayette for the
"Festival International de Louisiane". This festival is an annual
visual and performing arts celebration of the cultural heritage of
southern Louisiana: a combination of French, African, Caribbean and
Hispanic influences. It was a long drive, so I made sure I wore my seatbelt. Safety first!
